Their vision begins here on Earth. They believe that before humanity can build cities on the Moon, colonize Mars, or spread across the galaxy, we must learn to live sustainably, eliminate poverty, develop renewable energy, and create systems capable of supporting life indefinitely.

Inspired by Marshall T. Savage's groundbreaking vision in "The Millennial Project," the Living Universe Foundation proposes an eight-step roadmap that starts with Earth, expands into ocean colonies, then reaches outward to space habitats, planetary settlements, and ultimately the stars themselves.
Today we're exploring this ambitious vision, asking whether humanity is destined to become a multi-planetary species—or whether this is simply one of the most optimistic dreams ever conceived.
