"Swiss space company ClearSpace is developing ClearSpace-1, a robotic spacecraft designed to capture and remove dangerous space debris. The mission was commissioned by the European Space Agency (ESA) to help address the growing problem of defunct satellites and discarded rocket parts orbiting Earth.

"Capturing debris is challenging because dead satellites often lack docking points and may tumble uncontrollably. ClearSpace-1 is designed to use cameras and navigation sensors to approach its target before grasping it with four robotic arms."
