Everything Bitcoin! Meetup

Lots of interesting stuff has been happening with Bitcoin lately. Let's get together and talk about it! Mt. Gox. Dwolla. Department of Justice. Japan and the Yen.

At the last meeting it was unanimously suggested that we have some beer available at the next meeting - I'm all for it. Feel free to bring a six pack of your favorite micro-brew.

Some of us were hoping to hear from some experienced Bitcoin miners at the last meeting but it didn't happen. The weather was really poor so the turnout was a little soft. If you have some experience mining, please come and share your story. No formal speeches, just easy discussion. With beer.

I won't put together a formal agenda this time. We spent most of the last meeting on open discussion anyway, and that seemed to work well. If you have any specific topics that you want to address please post them here. I've allowed all group members to help plan the meeting. Hopefully that doesn't result in anarchy.

I was thinking of posting something up on LocalBitcoins to attract buyers & sellers. I'm not sure if anyone is interested in buying or selling BTC at the meeting, but that was one of the original ideas behind the group. What are your thoughts?

I'd also like to try to do these meetings a little more regularly. Perhaps in a different location. I know Columbia Heights is a little out of the way for some of you. If you're interested in helping with a meeting on the South side of town every other month please let me know.
