Women in Data 2023

Join us in our fabulous building next to Lanyon Place Train Station to hear 3 inspirational talks from women about what they do with data.

As always, we start with pizza and drinks and a chance to network. This evening will highlight paths into data and technology and some of the interesting work that can be pursued.

• Megan D'Arcy, ANI - Using Graph Neural Networks to explore movie data with a focus on the Bechdell Test. We will explore the presence of Woman in Movies through a series of cool graph neural networks! With discussion around the Bechdel Test in today's world.

• Dr. Joan Cordell, UU - How digital technologies can best meet the needs of carers in NI and support their health and wellbeing. Helping carers deliver the best possible care by ensuring they have the tools to support them in their role and look after their own health at the same time.

• Sujatha Palanisamy, ANI - Shares personal story in transforming her skills from HR into the Data Analytics space. The challenges faced in the transition from a non-technical background and the support she received during the learning journey to complete her Masters in Data Science from UU. It's never too late to re-think about your career.
