What we’re about
This group sets itself apart for several reasons. First, there is no drama. If there is, it will be addressed immediately. Second, people will receive a warning if they are going to be asked to leave the group because I think it's only fair that someone knows why they are asked to leave. I believe in treating people like human beings and it's sad that other meetup groups tell people that they will kick someone out without any explanation. You basically can be asked to leave because they don't like your shoes. Lastly, there are no charges except to pay for your own ticket to the event.
This group is for anyone who has an explorative spirit and wants to try all sorts of different things. Yes, we will do happy hours, dinners, and hikes on occasion but there will always be so much more from immersive experiences, the rage room in Philly, escape rooms, TONS of comedy shows, whitewater rafting in different states, road trips through Pennsylvania, Rennaisance festivals, games like Capture the Flag (can't decide to do this with or without going to a paintball event), trampoline parks, horseback riding, snow tubing, Painting with a Twist, scavenger hunts, holiday festivities from 4th of July, Halloween, Friendsgivings, and Christmas events. Although I understand that there may be a time when two people meet within this group and decide to date, this was NOT meant to be a singles group. We like to keep the drama to a minimum here.
People who join this group should be the kind of people who follow clear instructions and can READ the entire description of the event. We like to be courteous to others and although I don't care to lecture people on how to adult, if you don't know that you should honor your commitments when you RSVP, this may not be the group for you. You have to understand that your organizer is someone who had food poisoning, vomited 12 times while getting ready, and still showed up for the event so let's just say that lame excuses don't fly.
Gossiping will not be tolerated. Okay, sometimes, I know you just cannot help it but please do it outside of the actual event. Although gossiping is a no, good-natured ribbing is highly welcomed so try not to take everything so personally. It's all in good fun.
One last comment on strange behavior: any type of stalking including sending things to someone's home address when they were not aware you had their address, any inappropriate touching ( caressing someone's thigh, back, neck, or elsewhere when you don't know them), or 2 last-minute cancellations when reservations have been made or tickets had been bought will cause you to be asked to leave the group.
As long as you are kind, considerate, respectful of others, and like to have fun, you are welcome.
P.S. I do not refund concert tickets if they have been purchased in advance and you suddenly decide that you would rather not go on that day. Ticketmaster does not give refunds and neither do I. It will be your responsibility to sell your ticket, not mine.
