A lingering issue for many people is the the question of how could an all loving, all knowing, all powerful God allow all the suffering that we see in the world. There are many voices offering answers and many of them make a contribution to the discussion. This is my contribution.
In summary: God cannot create another God equal to Himself, because He is uncreated. But God in His creativity wanted to create beings in His image - humans. The humans would need to be able to be creative in a way that is analogous to God's creativity. They would need to be able to love in a way that reflects God's love. They would need to be able to reason. To do all these things the humans would need a large degree of freedom.
This need for freedom feeds into the whole design of the universe - why it runs by laws. The freedom would need to be great enough for the humans to choose not to love, to reason to wrong conclusions, to reject the rule of the Great Ruler and become a rule unto themselves.
Come enter into the discussion. If you have it all figured out, you can surly contribute. If not, listen to the presentation and try to discern Truth with the rest of us.
