What we’re about
It all started with logs. And then there were metrics. And then there was distributed tracing. Now there's all this talk about structured "events" (but they swear it's different than logs). Sprinkle some serverless, multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, terraform, APM, edge-computing, stream-processing, containers and Kubernetes in the mix, and nobody knows what the heck is going on anymore. With all the tools and technologies in the ecosystem today, it's difficult to stay on top of what the industry best-practices are, and if they're applicable to your own organization and scale.
This group is designed to discuss the observability trends and technologies, best-practices, and real world use-cases, led by practitioners and guest-speakers in the Seattle SRE, DevOps, Infra, Monitoring and Observability community. Network with fellow Moniteers (that term doesn't actually exist), discuss challenges, and solve problems.
Food and Beverages provided as we attempt to untangle the knot that is observability.
