Michael Cook will be presenting on an aspect of the hacker spirit. Namely, the ability - and really the tenacity - to figure out and conquer a challenge in spite of failures along the way. To illustrate this aspect, he will be sharing a demo that recreates a challenging experience from a recently completed penetration testing assessment.

Michael Cook is the Manager of Security Services at Evolve Security, and works to enhance the state of the penetration testing field through technical research and process improvements. He is also an Adjunct Instructor at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University where he teaches a graduate-level course on Ethical Penetration Testing.
