Conversation Meetup Hosted by the Esperanto Society of New York

Details
Join us for a casual in-person conversation meetup hosted by the Esperanto Society of New York, open to all language lovers and curious minds!
In this session, we'll use a short article (in Esperanto) as a jumping-off point for a broader discussion about multilingualism, identity, and language rights in Europe. The article touches on the political and cultural debates surrounding regional languages like Catalan, Basque, and Galician, and raises thought-provoking questions about the future of language policy in the EU — including the place of Esperanto.
👉 Please read the article in advance and come ready to share your thoughts and reactions. We’ll talk mostly in Esperanto, but beginners are absolutely welcome! We’ll support each other with vocabulary, translation, and discussion.

📌 Accessibility Note: Qahwah House Browadway is not wheelchair accessible. The main seating area is upstairs, and the men's bathroom is in the basement, both reachable only via stairs.
Whether you're fluent or just starting out, this is a great chance to explore language through meaningful conversation with a welcoming community.
