Join us for a relaxed Esperanto picnic in Central Park on Saturday, June 13 at 12:00 PM.
We’ll meet near Sheep Meadow, close to the Sheep Meadow Drinking Fountain, and spend a couple of hours chatting, relaxing, and enjoying the park together. You’re welcome whether you speak Esperanto fluently, know just a little, or are simply curious.
This is meant to be casual and friendly. You can come to talk, listen, meet people, sit in the shade, snack, or just enjoy being outdoors with other Esperanto speakers and learners.
You can recognize us by:

  • a small Esperanto flag
  • Esperanto books
  • a Duolingo plushie

Feel free to bring:

  • a blanket or towel to sit on
  • snacks or drinks for yourself
  • something small to share, if you want
  • a frisbee, cards, or another simple picnic-friendly game

Bringing something is optional. You are welcome to come even if you just show up.
If rain seems likely or the ground is too wet, we’ll post an update and move the meetup indoors to our usual spot: Le Pain Quotidien, 85 Broad St, New York, NY.
Hope to see you there.
