What we’re about
With 400+ members, we are the 1st and original e-wheel Meetup group in the DC area. This social e-wheel group is for people in the Washington DC metro area who enjoy touring and learning about DC-area sites, memorials, neighborhoods, landmarks, etc. while riding electric devices (e.g. [in no particular order] e-scooter, e-bike, e-skateboard, e-unicycle, onewheel, etc.)!
Don’t own an e-wheel? You can rent one (e-scooter, e-bike) using a micromobility app (e.g. Lime, Bird, Spin, Helbiz, Capital Bikeshare). Capital Bikeshare offers a Day Pass option for $8 that includes a discounted rate of $0.10 per minute for e-bikes (for an estimated total cost of $25 – $30 for our tour length); Lime and Helbiz also offer Day Pass options (as of spring 2023). Since the tours are free, the cost is significantly less than a comparable Segway tour (that uses older technology). Join us for some or all of the tour!
This group is for married people, single people, new-in-towners, and people who have been in the DC area for a while and are simply looking for a new e-device touring group to go out with.
