ExecTec on The Social Media Edge
Details
If I had told you ten years ago that every major brand would connect, engage and execute their sales/vision in 140 character text messages, you would have called me empty headed.
For that matter, ten years ago Youtube was in its infancy and many wondered where the future was for a service which was just achieving a 10-minute video capacity.
While it is true, we have supersized the communication options and mediums some mediums and forms of engagement will be stronger in the future and outlast others.
Now I guess, based on my extensive data on the ExecTec members, that SnapChat, Instagram and other new social media tools are not only not your go-to favorites but many of you probably don't have accounts.
So how does one take the semi-shady start of SnapChat and convert it to something that is rapidly becoming the darling of the new age ad executives?
At the core, there is no question that images are good but videos are better. It also does not hurt that the next generation which brands want to get connected with are much more active on these social video tools like Snapchat.
Both Facebook and Twitter have jumped on the social video bandwagon including the ability to include video (live in the case of Facebook) in your social stream on their services.
So where is the edge of these new generation tools?
Can you afford to keep your nose buried in your newspaper quietly ignoring the social video revolution?
Come out and join us as we explore how social video works and what one needs to know to be prepared to leverage what is clearly here to stay.
As always, there is no better way to meet and connect with other executives then over dinner and conversation. $21 in advance via PayPal or $25 at the event gets you a full dinner, drink and the best networking around.
