Very Important News!!!

Dear fellow walkers,

This group has been very successfully led by Caroline for some time now. She needs a break from organising duties and it has been left to a few of us to keep things going.

The biggest challenge is the financial burden that Meet Up imposes on their groups. It costs £45 per month to use their platform. With this in mind, I am proposing we charge a nominal annual fee of £10 to all members.
This will hopefully cover the costs involved.

An alternative thought is that we scrap using Meet Up and organise ourselves through a WhatsApp group. This would involve zero fees and only the administering of the WhatsApp group. If this option was chosen then we would obviously need phone numbers, which would be kept private.

Please let me know your thoughts regarding these options and then a few of us will make a decision on behalf of everyone.
