From the trailer it looks like this will be quite a powerful film, with Cillian Murphy on top form. It starts at 20:00 and I'll be in the cafe from 19:30 wearing a red cap to help you recognise me. I'll be sticking around afterwards for anyone who wants to get another drink and share our thoughts, and maybe decompress a bit!

From the Phoenix website:

Cillian Murphy plays Steve, a dedicated but troubled headteacher at a reform school for boys. Set within one frenetic day we follow Steve as he tries to protect the school, get through to self-destructive student all whilst hanging on by a thread himself.

With a powerful supporting cast, including Little Simz, who also wrote a track for this film, and Emily Watson, this collage of a film paints a portrait of violence and fragility in a 90s reform school where the boys, teachers and school itself are all at risk

For tickets see the Phoenix website, seating is unreserved.
