Sunday walk from Paignton to Berry Head

Join us for a beautiful, mostly coastal walk for six miles or so around Torbay from Paignton to Berry Head. We’ll start from Paignton, making our way alongside Goodrington Beach with views of the Dartmouth Steam Railway. We’ll then stop for refreshments at the Loving the Beach cafe at Broadsands Beach.

Following this we’ll continue our trail around Brixham’s historic harbour, before heading out to Berry Head. There we’ll stop for tea and cake at the lovely Guardhouse Cafe. Finally we’ll return to Brixham where we can take a bus back to Paignton.

We unfortunately had to postpone this walk last November due to a storm. We hope the weather will be kinder to us this time!

Terrain
The walk has a few hills but is relatively gentle. There is one section of the walk that could potentially be muddy so please wear appropriate footwear. We will take the walk at a leisurely pace so we can enjoy the views.

Getting to and from the walk
We’ll meet outside the entrance to Paignton railway station at 11am to start the walk. There is parking available at the station at a day rate of £5.30, or you can of course take the train! The 9.42am from Exeter St Davids looks like the best option.
