Teignmouth to Shaldon Ferry, Pitch and Putt, and refreshments!

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY FUN!

Come and have a fun round of golf (pitch and putt) at the beautiful Shaldon course, with the added bonus of a little ferry ride, and drinks overlooking the Teign estuary afterwards. A pro you need not be… but a willing sport to give it a go… definitely!

The plan will be to meet at teignmouth train station, where we will walk to catch the ferry that goes across the estuary to Shaldon. A short trip on the historic service costs £2. Simple pleasures!

Once docked, we will walk the short distance through Shaldon up to the course, where we can get a round in. It’s £9.50 per adult, with some charges if you lose your balls or damage your club etc! See further details in the pictures or on their website. Maybe take your own balls if particularly worried about that. You can get cheap ones.

We will play in three groups of up to six and hope we don’t have people closely following us!

Once we have giggled and shown whatever skills we might have, we can go and rest on the beach or in a beer garden for refreshments. It’s so beautiful there, what’s not to love.

Afterwards, catch the ferry back, or talk the slightly longer walking route over the bridge back to Teignmouth.

Emphasis on this being fun golf, not a pros tour. The fun is trying something new so don’t be put off!

There is a train from st David’s at 10:25 arriving 10:42

Travelling back, I expect to aim for the 16:18 from Teignmouth arriving at 16:46
