Thanks to everyone who joined us last time. It’s time to continue our series of deep conversations.

Our next topic is: What Is Reality? Can We Ever See Reality in Its Entirety?

Everything we experience as reality seems to be only a tiny fraction of what actually exists because our senses are incredibly limited.

Our eyes can only perceive a small fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum, our ears can hear only a limited range of frequencies, and our minds interpret the world through years of conditioning, identity, memories and beliefs.

Yet, everything we know about existence comes through these limited instruments.

Have we ever experienced reality as it is, or just a fraction of it that fits into our minds?

I once heard a story of a student who approached a monk to learn detachment. The monk asked him to visit a cremation ground and observe the burning bodies. When the student questioned how watching strangers being cremated would help him, the monk replied, "You've never met a stranger in your life."

This summer, while travelling through remote villages in the Amazonian rainforest in Peru, I encountered a group of strangers at my next camp deep in the forest who, completely by chance, also happened to be from Stockholm. One of them was even working at my friend's company in Solna. The coincidence didn't just surprise me; it almost made me question the very nature of reality.

But was it just a random encounter? Or are we connected and communicating in ways we cannot perceive?

We've all experienced strange moments like these. Thinking about someone just before they call, waking up a minute before the alarm, or encountering someone unexpectedly in the most unlikely place.

Carl Jung called some of these meaningful coincidences synchronicity.

But are these merely psychological interpretations, or glimpses of patterns we haven't yet understood or perceived?

If we can sometimes sense that someone is thinking about us, or wake up just before an alarm without consciously knowing the time, could we be part of a much larger interconnected reality, unable to perceive the whole picture?

What if our minds never evolved to perceive reality objectively, but only to perceive a subjective version of it that's sufficient to keep us alive?
And if that's the case, is there something beyond this subjective reality that's worth discovering?

Together, let's explore what reality really is, how much of it we can ever perceive, and whether there is something beyond the world our minds have constructed that's worth seeking.

As always, this will be a small, intimate gathering - a chance to stare into the abyss together one more time and create a space for real conversation and acceptance.

Meeting Point: Entrance of Göta Arkhuset, Medborgarplatsen 25 (same as last time). It’s a two-minute walk from Medborgarplatsen t-bana.

The building is closed on weekends, but I have access. I’ll be waiting outside the building to receive you - please arrive at least 10 minutes early at 13:20. Doors will close at 13:40 sharp.

All our events are free. We will have coffee, tea, fruit, Doritos, and some chocolate in the space. No need to bring anything.

Looking forward to another raw and enlightening discussion. See you soon. 🙏
