Join us for an 18-mile one-way hike along the beautiful shores of Lake Chelan to Stehekin. The only way to arrive in Stehekin is by boat, plane or foot! This is pre-season, so no need for camping reservations, but the shuttle will be required (from Fields Point).

We expect the backpack to be snow free and is a great adventure after winter's long grasp. The total elevation gain on the 18 miles is about 2800 feet.

I've included Thursday as a possible travel day for those from farther away. The idea is to ferry shuttle up to Prince Creek Campground and start hiking Friday morning (closer to afternoon) in order to reach Moore Point Campground. The following day will take us into Stehekin for another night of camping before ferry shuttling back to Fields Point the next morning. If we're lucky, the bakery will be open and getting ready for the season of thru-hikers!

You will be required to purchase ferry tickets on your own. The hike is one-way as we will use the ferry to return to the starting point.

To join the trip please add yourselves to the waitlist. We want you to go! Here are the best ways to get on the Go list!

This trip will be organized via Facebook Messenger. We don't care if you use Facebook but you need Messenger to participate.

Rules and expectations you should know:

Please sign the liability waiver above, if you haven’t already.
(It must be signed before you RSVP. You will not have the opportunity to sign at a trail head and we do not have paper copies. If you signed the liability waiver for a past event with this group, you don’t need to sign it again. Not participating with the waiver is grounds to be removed from the group.)
