We are going back to the West Coast Trail in 2026.

The event dates will not be set until early 2026 when we see what permit we get. The current dates shown are just a guess. However, we will for sure not be going in July or August.

Now that we have been there once we know what to expect.

We will come up the day before and walk on the ferry from Port Angeles, overnight in Victoria, and take the bus to the south end of the trail the next morning.

We expect 6 trail days plus two travel days but participate must allow an extra floating day just in case a river crossing delays us a day or whatever else comes up.

7 people max. We have to know you well. This isnt the adventure for people we do not know well. You have to be at West Coast Trail ready. You don't have to be physically strong but you have to have the correct gear setup for it and you have to like the kind of difficulty this trail offers.

At only 47 miles, it might be easy to underestimate the difficulty, but we will be timing tides, wading rivers, climbing long and steep ladders, using cable cars, following an irregular trail, and negotiating lots of mud and roots. You have to be comfortable stepping on rotten wood with the faith it will hold.

The permits ferry rides and overnight costs coming and going and park fees will bring the cost of this adventure to about $500, and of course you need a passport to enter Canada

We organize on Facebook/Facebook messenger, so you do not need to use Facebook, but you must be able to use Messenger. When you join a chat for an event, you will understand why.

YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY ON THE "GOING" LIST UNTIL WE ADD YOU TO THE FACEBOOK CHAT!
