Mt St Helens-Worm Flow Route
Details
Distance: 12 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 5700 ft
Highest Point: 8364ft
Calculated Difficulty: Hard
With the extreme low snow pack this winter, it's better to do this Worm Flow Route earlier in spring to avoid the heat. We will leave Portland area on Friday night after work, drive to Marble Mountain Sno Park and camp. We will start climbing around 5am and hopefully can catch sunrise mid way up the mountain. We should be able to get back to the cars by 3pm.
For this event, you'll need crampons, ice axe and something to glissade down the mountain. If you're interested to join this event, please buy a permit for yourself on Recreation.gov. There should still be permits available now.
As usual we will work out all the exact details in the event chat.
