Whitefish is known for its amazing alpine skiing, but if cross-country skiing (also known as Nordic skiing) is more your thing, then Whitefish is the perfect place for you. Whitefish is surrounded by a wide variety of trail systems for all abilities. In addition to skiing at the trail systems near town, I also want to ski at Glacier National Park. The park is open 365 days a year and cross country skis are the perfect way to experience it in winter.

For this trip, instead of driving through treacherous roads in the winter months, we will sit and relax on an Amtrak Train. Hop onto the train from Portland downtown at 4:45pm, you'll arrive at Whitefish 7:00am the next morning. As for logging, there'll be a combination of Air B & B in downtown Whitefish and a night of snow camping at Glacier National Park.

To join this trip, you need to have your own xc ski gears, as well as winter camping gear for the night at Glacier National Park.

As usual, we will hash out all details in the event chat.
