āŗ ABOUT THE MOVIE
After its successful premiere at IFFR 2025, where it landed second in the audience favorites, Three Days of Fish is finally hitting cinemas. This black-and-white tragicomedy explores the tense relationship between Gerrie and his son Dick during their annual three-day reunion in Rotterdam, overshadowed by the looming possibility that this might be Gerrieās final visit.Gerrie (68), originally from Rotterdam, has been living for years with his second wife Rosa in the Algarve, though heās still officially registered in the Netherlands. A former bus driver and now a COPD patient, Gerrie travels to Rotterdam once a year for medical check-ups and other routine appointments. During his stay, he lodges with his Cape Verdean stepdaughter and reunites with his son Dick (45), who is at odds with himself and the world around him. For years, Gerrie has turned a blind eye to his sonās problems. Dick, in turn, always expects too much from their brief time together and yearns for meaningful connection. This year, the sense of finality hangs in the airāthis could well be Gerrieās last trip back.
Ten years after his acclaimed debut Between 10 and 12, filmmaker Peter Hoogendoorn returns with the equally personal, at times hilarious, and always sincere Three Days of Fish. Shot in fitting black and white, set against the backdrop of the city, and brought to life with sensitive, understated performances by Ton Kas and Guido Pollemans, the film gently reminds usāoften through laughterāhow vital it is to truly talk to one another.

š Winner Jury Prize - Cannes Film Festival 2007 š
āŗ ABOUT THE MOVIE
š A sun-drenched, bittersweet, humorous, and edgy coming-of-age story from debut director Kostis Charamountanis. The film is a tribute to the summers he spent sailing as a child.Babis takes his twin children Konstantinos and Elsa (among the best-sketched, most-charming sibling duos in recent memory) sailing through the Greek isles, engaging in all the affection and jousting common to single parents and teenage offspring. Itās a seemingly standard trip laced with secret intent: Babis is en route to finally introduce the mother who abandoned Konstantinos and Elsa in infancy, a meeting that will dredge up difficult pasts and untreated hurt. Kostis Charamountanisās feature debut is nevertheless a constant pleasure, its complexity and detail placed against piercingly blue seas, verdant flora, and glowing sunsets. Festival favorites Aftersun or Murina may come to mind, yet Kyuka moves at a speed all its ownāpeppered by hypnotic documentary interludes and tense, dazzlingly edited exchangesāup to Charamountanisās perfectly orchestrated climax.

āŗ ABOUT THE MOVIE
In a small Romanian village, Dragoi, a devout family man, owes a sizable debt to local gangster Zentov. When his 17-year-old son, Adi, is viciously attacked by Zentovās sons, Dragoi assumes itās a warning to settle his dues. However, he uncovers a far more harrowing truthāAdi was not targeted over his fatherās debts, but because of his sexual orientation. What begins as a fatherās desperate attempt to protect his son soon becomes a battle against a corrupt system determined to silence the case. As the community closes ranks, Dragoi is forced to confront not only his own beliefs but the deeply ingrained prejudices of his community. Meanwhile, Adi struggles with the pain of betrayalānot just from his attackers, but from a society that refuses to accept him. The seeming tranquility of the village fractures, revealing an undercurrent of violence, hypocrisy, and fear.
Three Kilometers to the End of the World is a gripping drama that exposes the aftermath of a homophobic hate crime and the forces working to bury the truth. With powerful performances and a relentless narrative, the film lays bare the weight of tradition, the cost of silence, and the courage it takes to fight for justice in a world determined to look away.

āŗ ABOUT THE MOVIE
The Danish Dogme 95 movement that struck world cinema like a thunderbolt began with FESTEN (The Celebration) - Thomas Vinterbergās international breakthrough, a lacerating chamber drama that uses the economic and aesthetic freedoms of digital video to achieve annihilating emotional intensity. On a wealthy manās sixtieth birthday, a sprawling group of family and friends convenes at his country estate for a celebration that soon spirals into bedlam, as bombshell revelations threaten to tear away the veneer of bourgeois respectability and expose the traumas roiling beneath. The dynamic handheld camera work, grainy natural lighting, cacophonous diegetic sound, and raw performance style that would become Dogme hallmarks enhance the shattering visceral impact of this caustic indictment of patriarchal failings, which swings between blackest comedy and bleakest tragedy as it turns the sick soul of a family inside out.
