Shinjuku Eisa Festival 2024

Details

Let's enjoy the annual Shinjuku Eisa Festival together!
Eisa is a traditional dance originating in the Okinawan islands.

## What happens?

The traditional costumes, dancing, and drumming are quite different to what you’re likely to see in other festivals in Japan. The organizers are only expecting about 1 million people to turn up to watch! Mind you, this is Shinjuku so you probably won’t notice the difference.

## How to get there

The event takes place around Shinjuku Station East.

We will meet near the East Exit, in front of Coorikuya, a cat cafe (although we won't be visiting there).

Please feel free to arrive early. We will wait upwards of 11:25a for latecomers before we head off.

See you soon!

COVID-19 safety measures
