About us
Welcome explorers to 'Expedition Costa Blanca', we are a group that will be exploring the exciting, spectacular, and hidden sights of the mountain areas of the Marina Alta and Marina Baja, in the Costa Blanca region of Spain
This group will appeal to those who are already 'fit to hike' with a sense of adventure, who want to meet like-minded individuals to enjoy the great outdoors.
Some of our trips will involve various grades of scrambling, ridge walks and you may need a head for heights. This will be explained fully on each event page.
For those of you that are just novices at hiking and lack experience of mountain hiking, we will aim to run some less challenging events to allow you to gain the necessary experience and fitness. These will be clearly stated on the programme of events.
We look forward to meeting you all on our adventures.

Expedition: Cima Aixorta
ELS PARKING, Castell de Castells, 03793, Alicante, alicante, ESThis ECB route explores the limestone ridge of Cresta de l’Aixortà above Castell de Castells.
Starting from the Els Arcs parking area, the route follows a mixture of mountain paths and ridge terrain across one of the quieter mountain areas in Alicante province.
A key feature of this route is that most of the ridge can be completed either on the main walking path or directly along the crest itself. This gives participants the option to either follow the standard trail or include some easy scrambling sections for a more direct ridge traverse.
The ridge scrambling is approximately Grade 1+ / UIAA II and includes short hands-on sections with some exposure. The scrambling is optional and there is normally a walking line close to the ridge.
The route is around 10km long with approximately 400m of elevation gain, making it a moderate mountain day with more focus on terrain and movement than physical difficulty.🇪🇸 ECB Ruta de Montaña – Cresta de l’Aixortà 🇪🇸
