The **Vía Ferrata Callosa de Segura** in Alicante offers two very different but connected routes: a more accessible K2 (or K3 initiation-style) section and a very demanding **K5** segment. This isn’t just another “easy” K5 — it’s a **sustained K5**, making it one of the toughest ferratas on the Costa Blanca.
**What to Expect**

* The **K2 / initiation section** (Callosa – Tramo K2) features a 26 m wooden bridge, a 26 m diagonal chain bridge, a 14 m monkey bridge, and a long 33 m Tibetan-style bridge
* The **K5 / sport section** (Tramo K4/5) climbs vertically up a 100 m wall (“El Polígono”), with multiple overhangs, traverses, and several bridges (mono-bridges, a huge 98 m wooden suspension footbridge 80 m above the ground), plus technically demanding sequences with some escape options by rappel (up to \~30 m).
* The total physical exposure is high in the K5 portion, with sustained climbing, overhangs, and very little “rest” ground.

**Jota’s Take:**
This is probably one of the most demanding via ferratas we can do around Costa Blanca. Unlike a lot of ferratas that claim to be “K5 or K6” they normal are just short variants, **this K5 section is truly sustained** — you'll feel it. That said, it’s totally doable *if* you’ve done a few **K4's before**, because there are a couple of very tricky parts. For anyone who’s less confident, we can **provide extra security** at those hard parts, or even **rapel past them**. Overall It’s a serious but a very rewarding line — and the payoff in exposure and views is more than worth it.

La **Vía Ferrata Callosa de Segura** en Alicante ofrece dos tramos muy distintos pero conectados: un tramo más accesible **K2 (o estilo iniciación K3)** y un tramo muy exigente **K5**. Esto no es un “K5 fácil”: es un **K5 sostenido**, convirtiéndolo en uno de los ferratas más duros de la Costa Blanca.

### **Qué Esperar**

* **Tramo K2 / iniciación (Callosa – Tramo K2):** puente de madera de 26 m, puente de cadena diagonal de 26 m, puente mono de 14 m y un largo puente tibetano de 33 m.
* **Tramo K5 / deportivo (Tramo K4/5):** sube verticalmente por una pared de 100 m (“El Polígono”) con desplomes, travesías y varios puentes (mono-puentes y un gran puente colgante de madera de 98 m a 80 m de altura), además de secuencias técnicas y algunas opciones de escape por rápel (\~30 m).

La **exposición física es alta** en el tramo K5, con escalada sostenida, desplomes y muy poco terreno de descanso.

### **La Opinión de Jota**

Probablemente sea una de las vías ferratas más exigentes que podemos hacer en la Costa Blanca. A diferencia de muchas ferratas que dicen ser “K5 o K6” pero son variantes cortas, este **tramo K5 es realmente sostenido** — se nota. Dicho esto, es totalmente factible si has completado unos cuantos K4, ya que hay un par de secciones especialmente complicadas. Para quienes se sientan menos seguros, podemos **proporcionar seguridad adicional** en los tramos difíciles o incluso **rapelar para pasarlos**. En general, es un recorrido serio pero muy gratificante — y la recompensa en exposición y vistas merece totalmente la pena.
