Expedition Pico Mulhacén – Sierra Nevada Traverse (2026)

Join me for a demanding and immersive 7-day mountain traverse to the summit of Pico Mulhacén, the highest peak in mainland Spain. This is a full alpine-style expedition and part of the “Road to Mont Blanc” progression.
Over six days, we will cross valleys, high ridges, sleep in refugios, and wild camp in remote mountain areas. The route is flexible and will adapt to weather and group decisions.
We have space for 7–8 participants, making this a small and committed team expedition.

Durante seis días cruzaremos valles, crestas, dormiremos en refugios y haremos acampada libre en la montaña. La ruta puede cambiar según el clima y el grupo.
Hay espacio para 7–8 participantes, un grupo pequeño y comprometido.

## Wild Camping & Equipment

## Acampada y material

EN:
We will spend multiple nights wild camping in remote mountain areas. You must be prepared to carry all your own equipment and supplies.
Essential kit includes:

• Lightweight tent or bivvy
• Sleeping bag suitable for cold conditions
• Sleeping mat
• 50–70L backpack
• Cooking system (stove, fuel, pot)
• Headtorch
• Warm layers
• Waterproof jacket and trousers
• Food for multiple days
• Water capacity (min 3L)

ES:
Vamos a dormir varias noches en acampada libre en zonas remotas. Debes llevar tu propio material y comida.
Material necesario:

• Tienda ligera o vivac
• Saco de dormir para frío
• Esterilla
• Mochila 50–70L
• Sistema de cocina (hornillo, gas, olla)
• Linterna frontal
• Ropa de abrigo
• Chaqueta y pantalón impermeable
• Comida para varios días
• Agua (mínimo 3L)

We recommend pairing up with an expedition buddy to share gear like tents and cooking equipment. This reduces weight and improves teamwork.
