There will be a brief spotlight from SEP’s President Raman Ohri on the state of design, why they built the studio, and the Indy community needs.
Experience Makers directors will cover how UX has evolved in Indy from the lens of our community, how we used UX methods to revamp this meetup, why our UX community rocks, and where the future lies for our design community.

President Raman Ohri joined SEP in 1993 after graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering. As a developer and manager, Ohri helped to create new products and systems in industries as varied as automotive, medical, pharmaceutical and aerospace.
Throughout his tenure at SEP Ohri has led the firm’s recruiting and training efforts as well as championed the development of SEP’s Career Path, a formal process to guide the firm’s staff thru technical growth and career advancement. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Ohri has an excellent track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. He also serves as SEP’s Corporate Ambassador for the Indianapolis Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). He is an essential member of the SEP executive team that has helped grow the 29-year-old company into the reliable partner that it is today.

Steve is passionate about creating software that makes users look and feel like rockstars. He has over 7 years of experience in the field of user experience working for companies like Pearson Education and Salesforce (ExactTarget.) He also acts as a Senior UX Researcher for Salesforce.

Christina Dunbar, Senior UX Researcher and Experience Director

Christina is a Senior UX Researcher at Angie’s List where she collaborates to create end-to-end experiences that meet the needs of homeowners and home service providers. She was previously at Pearson Education, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, and Healthx in roles such as design research, interaction design, and product management. In her free time she mentors high school students through the IU School of Informatics & Computing at IUPUI iDEW program.

Both Steve and Christina serve as Co-Directors for Indianapolis’s Experience Makers Meetup. They received their master’s degree from IU School of Informatics & Computing at IUPUI where they continue to volunteer as mentors for HCI grad students.
