DAY OF THE DEAD IN VERACRUZ

OCTOBER 30 - NOVEMBER 4, 2018
BASIC PACKAGE AND ITINERARY
You will arrive to the Veracruz Airport on October 30, 2018. (Flight is not included in the price: reserve your own flight). Most flights will have a stop in Mexico City. The following is a brief summary of our tentative itinerary:
Day 1: Tuesday, October 30 – Arrival to Veracruz Airport. Transfer to Hotel Xalapa in Xalapa, Veracruz (or similar hotel).
Day 2: Wednesday, October 31 – Visit two Magical Towns: Coatepec and Xico. Visit a coffee farm and participate in a Cata de Café (coffee-tasting workshop) with Tania Bonilla. Return to Xalapa. Evening free.
Day 3: Thursday, November 1 – Visit the picturesque town of Naolinco. Special presentation of Day of the Dead traditions. Lunch in the main plaza. Return to Xalapa. Evening free.
Day 4: Friday, November 2 – Full day in Xalapa: city tour, Day of Dead events and more. Evening free.
Day 5: Saturday, November 3 – Depart for the Port City of Veracruz. Check in to Hotel Veracruz (or similar hotel). City tour, Optional Naval Museum, shopping, etc.
Day 6: Sunday, November 4 – Return home.
A detailed itinerary will follow.
Price: $1050 USD shared room; $1350 USD private room. Includes: Five nights in hotel with breakfasts, all ground transportation in Veracruz and entrance fees. Also includes a “welcome” cocktail and a “farewell” dinner.
DOES NOT INCLUDE AIRFARE, PERSONAL EXPENSES, ALL OTHER MEALS, TIPS TO WAITERS, HOTEL MAIDS, HOTEL BELLBOYS, TRANSNPORTATION DRIVERS, ETC.

EXTRA OPTIONAL PACKAGE: CUERNAVACA, PUEBLA AND VERACRUZ
Saturday, October 27 – Arrive to Mexico City. Travel to Cuernavaca. One night in Cuernavaca with breakfast the following morning.
Sunday, October 28 – Day in Cuernavaca. Cuernabús city tour. Visit new museum of contemporary art. Lunch at Hacienda Vista Hermosa.
Monday, October 29 – Depart Cuernavaca at 9:00 AM for Puebla. Day in Puebla including city tour, visit Talavera ceramic outlets and Mercado el Parián.
Tuesday, October 30 – Depart Puebla for Xalapa, Veracruz. Check in hotel. Meet the rest of group arriving today.
Sunday, November 4 – Return to Cuernavaca. Check in hotel. Afternoon and evening in Cuernavaca.
Monday, November 5 – Depart for Mexico City Airport. Return home.
Extra optional package includes: Three nights in Cuernavaca including breakfast and one night in Puebla including breakfast. Transportation round trip from Cuernavaca to Xalapa, Veracruz. Optional extra fee: $400.00 USD shared room and $550.00 USD single room. Total cost for nine nights: $1450.00 USD shared room and $1900.00 USD single room.
