Hello and welcome! 🎶
Join us for a fun and easy workshop where you can experience Kagura — a traditional Japanese performing art — and learn to sing its beautiful lyrics. (Approx. 50 minutes)
Before we start singing, you’ll discover the fascinating history of Kagura and why it’s so special to people in Japan’s farming regions.
You’ll learn directly from a real Kagura master who performs throughout the year!
By singing a Kagura song, you’ll express gratitude to the gods — and feel the spirit of ancient Japan.
We hope this experience inspires you to explore the hidden side of Japan in Shimane, and to connect with local people and Kagura lovers here in Tokyo.

"Hello Ebisu!" Sing the Songs of Iwami Kagura – Workshop

This time, we’ll celebrate Ebisu, the cheerful god of good luck and prosperity, through one of the most beloved Kagura performance.
Sing the popular Kagura piece “Ebisu” and feel the blessings of good fortune around you!The leader of the Arihuku Onsen Kagura Troupe comes all the way from Shimane and will guide you in a fun and easy way — no worries if you’ve never experienced Kagura before!
* Open to everyone — adults and kids are welcome!
* This is the only place in the world where you can experience singing Iwami Kagura!Kagura songs are ancient chants that wish for health and happiness in every person’s life. Singing them is a joyful celebration of human life — bringing smiles and warm energy to everyone who sings or listens.

このワークショップでは島根県の石見地方の伝統芸能、石見神楽の唄の一節を歌います。
商売繁盛、開運の神様として日本で古くから親しまれている恵比寿神。
神楽で人気の演目「恵比寿」を歌って、今ある「副」を感じませんか？島根からはるばる来た有福温泉神楽団の団長がわかりやすく指導しますので、神楽をまったく知らなくても大丈夫。
＊ おとなもこどもも参加できます。
＊ 石見神楽を歌う体験ができる機会は世界でここだけ！一人ひとりの健康で幸せな生活を願う神楽歌（かぐらうた）は、これを歌うことによって、人間の生活を喜びをこめて祝福し、聞く人にも歌う人にも楽しい気分をもたらすことができると言われています。
