Join us for a fun and easy workshop where you can experience Kagura — a traditional Japanese performing art — and learn to sing its beautiful lyrics. (Approx. 50 minutes)
Before we start singing, you’ll discover the fascinating history of Kagura and why it’s so special to people in Japan’s farming regions.
You’ll learn directly from a real Kagura master who performs throughout the year!
By singing a Kagura song, you’ll express gratitude to the gods — and feel the spirit of ancient Japan.
We hope this experience inspires you to explore the hidden side of Japan in Shimane, and to connect with local people and Kagura lovers here in Tokyo.
