Key 3, The Empress. The Luminous Intelligence. An Open Forum.

Topic: Key 3, The Empress. The Luminous Intelligence.
Our focus this month is on key 3, which fundamentally represents Creative Imagination through its various symbols representing reproduction, growth, and the idea of multiplication represented by the number 3. She is also Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, as well as the Great Mother principle. This is a marked departure from and elaboration of many of the concepts we discussed last month in association with the virginal High Priestess.

We will begin with a presentation of a reading on Key 3 from Jason Lotterhand’s book The Thursday Night Tarot. This will be followed by a group discussion of what struck us in the examination of this key, how we can use the powers of The Empress in our daily lives. We will close with a meditation on the Hebrew letter Daleth from The Book of Tokens.
