On Tuesday September 29th, attend NAGOYA MARIMBAS featuring the Kairos Percussion Quartet, the Opening Concert for TD Encounters Soundstream. Soundstreams has unveiled its 2026/27 TD Encounters season, a free four-concert series celebrating contemporary music through intimate performances, world premieres, and conversations with leading Canadian and international artists. The opening Encounters of the season compliments the first mainstage show of the season (Celebrating Steve Reich at 90!) by featuring Reich’s Mallet Quartet (originally co-commissioned by Soundstreams) and Nagoya Marimbas. The program also includes Ann Southam’s Glass House #5, and VV by Juri Seo. Nagoya Marimbas is a fast-paced percussion duet frequently paired with contemporary ballet and modern choreography, and for this Encounters, renowned choreographer Heidi Strauss has crafted a world premiere solo dance piece for contemporary dance artist Aerin Cho that echoes the intricate specificity of the piece. This immersive Encounters will be performed in the round. Register for your free admission to NAGOYA MARIMBAS Featuring the Kairos Percussion Quartet on Tuesday September 29th at 7:30pm.

Rush: A limited number of low-price tickets (limited to two per person) will be available for purchase online at noon for matinee performances at coc.ca (please ask for code) or 11am in person at the Four Seasons Centre Box Office at 145 Queen St. W. All rush ticket sales are final and cannot be refunded, exchanged or replaced.

Standing Room: Approximately 60 are available in-person at 11 a.m. on the day of a performance for just $15! They are located in the back rows of Ring 3 (some may be SURTITLES™ obstructed) and Ring 4, each with a hook and a leaning rail.

Originally from Vancouver, where it earned a Michelin recommendation, Riley’s Fish & Steak launched in Toronto almost 6 months ago. The seafood and chophouse will bring together “premium Canadian ingredients, cinematic tableside presentations, and a live music program — redefining what a downtown dining destination can be. The opening marks Glowbal Restaurant Group’s second Toronto restaurant, following Black + Blue.
