About us

If you want to get out and see/ do/ taste new things, explore arts and culture in Toronto, learn, meet new people and have fun, then this is the group for you. Adults/ single/ married/ any gender/ background/ religion are all welcome. We'll often see/ do something and talk about it after, over a meal. Look forward to a curated list of diverse, easy events that are well-organized with a friendly and caring host, and come away enjoying the time and possibly making a new friend.

We will go to art galleries, museums, theatres, see/hear live music such as jazz, pop, symphony and opera, ballet, movies, Toronto International Film Festival, walks, dances, astronomy events, Christmas markets, try new and established restaurants, high tea, and in the summer, cruises, trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake and Stratford.

Join members at TIFF Lightbox for a special Oscars Watch Party, hosted by comedian Alice Rose! Celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night, live on the big screen, with your fellow film lovers. And get ready: before the show, there will be movie trivia from Toronto Trivia. Note: I have 4 complimentary tickets for 4 members who have attended at least 2 events.

Note: I will be charged if you do not show up for the event, and this $15 fee will be passed on to you and will also impact future membership attendance.

Simply RSVP Yes with your email address, and you will be added to the Waitlist. I will check your past attendance (No shows are ineligible) and move the eligible attendee to going.

OR If you already have your ticket for this sold out event, post your set number, and I will move you to attending

RSVPs close three days prior. Any confirmed attendees who cancel or do not show will be required to etransfer to me TIFF's no show fee of $15 and future attendance will be impacted.

Your ticket will be emailed to you the morning of the event, and you must accept it as soon as possible.

On Sunday 22nd March, start Spring with some yummy Dim Sum. I have been going to this place for over 20 years, and have shared with many meetup groups, so hope you will join us. Rol Sans moved to it's new address almost 2 years ago, and I am looking forward to this modern location with their endless all-day dim sum menu. Framed pictures of their bestsellers (and also mine) are above. Note: This will be a shared experience at the table.

COST
Dim Sum: Cost + Tip + Taxes will be divided equally amongst attendees

To secure your seat, a $10 etransfer (includes $5 meetup fee) is required to hold a seat at the table. Attendees will receive $5 back at the end of dim sum - there are no refunds for cancellations or no shows.

Once you are on the waitlist, I will message you my email for the etransfer.

Once the transfer is complete, I will move you to attending.

A reminder will be sent the night before with my cell and all meetup details. Make sure you set up your communication settings to receive.

On Saturday March 28th, see the new Ballet of Lights Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show. This beloved tale is brought to life through classical dance, stunning choreography and beautiful glow-in-dark costumes. Six incredible local dancers light up the stage in costumes that transform every moment in a radiant display. I am seated in Zone C. Purchase: Ballet of Lights Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show on Saturday March 28th at 6pm (be careful as there are other dates and time slots on the same day).
