On Saturday August 22nd, join us for a Day in Unionville and be part of the Markham Jazz Festival. The day will feature: an Art Gallery Tour, Nature Scenic Walk, Shopping/Sightseeing on Main Street, Dinner, then concerts on the Millennium Bandstand Stage. The final concert will have a mix of musical genres to get you dancing. Then, relax on your drive back home.

ITINERARY
2:50pm: Meet outside the Frederick Horsman Varley Art Gallery (Varley is a Group of Seven Member)
3:00p: Guided tour of the Varley Art Gallery
3:30p: A scenic walk through Too Good Pond Park
4:00 - 5:15pm: Sight-seeing/ shopping (Main street is a short block)
5:15pm: Dinner
6:45pm: Head over to Millennium Bandstage for final 2 concerts

Note: you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from, and confirm if you will be joining for dinner, as reservations are required. In addition, all out of town events require your cell and email.

TRANSPORTATION:

  • Arrange for your own transportation. Feel free to post in the Comments if you want/need to carpool.
  • Carpool attendees MUST have a picture and arrange a PUBLIC pick-up/ drop off spot for the security of members. Any risks associated with carpooling are borne by the member, and Experience Toronto cannot be held liable under any circumstances.

  • Your email and cell are required for out of town events - for the reminder email and for emergencies the day off
  • A reminder will be sent the day prior to your email with my cell and details for the day.

RSVPs close 3 days prior and cancellations after may result in a No Show and impact future attendance.

7:00p: Ranee Lee Concert (Ranee Lee is a multi-talented Montreal artist with 13 albums, a Juno Award, has starred in a Billie Holiday musical, and toured internationally)
8:45p: U. N. Jefferson Concert (U.N. Jefferson is an original Motown / Soul band from Toronto)
9:30 - 10p: Head back to Toronto
