Beethoven's Fifth with World Reknown Pianist Angela Hewitt + Pre-concert (TSO)

On Friday October 9th, join me to see internationally acclaimed Canadian Pianist and 2026/27 Spotlight Artist Angela Hewitt perform Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto prior to the Orchestra's Fifth Symphony. Jörg Widmann’s Con brio opens with a witty, high-spirited homage to Beethoven. Then, Hewitt brings poetic grace to Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto, before the orchestra unleashes the composer’s thunderous Fifth Symphony—with the famous first four notes that changed classical music forever. Enhance your concert experience by arriving early for exquisite performances by the TSO Chamber Soloists, thoughtfully curated by Jonathan Crow and included with the price of your ticket. Meet me for the Pre-Concert at: 5:45pm at Roy Thomson Hall at 60 Simcoe St., inside the southern-most double set of glass doors, after scanning your tickets. There are a limited number of seats in the choir loft, so get there on time to get a seat and sit together.
