The summer weather is hitting just right, so come spend an afternoon with us at Hyalite Reservoir. Bring your favorite way to float, snacks and drinks, and a camping chair. Hike the trail, paddle across the lake, and take in the mountain views. Let’s enjoy the sunshine, the fresh air, and each other’s company while summer’s in full swing.DIRECTIONS
There's no cell service at Hyalite Reservoir. Look for the tallish Chinese girl named Dahlia near/in the parking lot. Why Lava Lake? It's a shaded hike through woods next to a rushing stream on a trail accented with stone and boulders and blue skies above pine trees....with a gradual 1600' incline throughout...and an amazing payoff at a beautiful lake in the shadow of the Spanish Peaks.We plan to relax at the lake for a short bit, time allowing. Perfect place to read, eat, cool off in the water, and just enjoy a serene place.

The trail is about 35 minutes outside of Bozeman. Ashna and Ashley, the hosts will wait for 15 minutes for any stragglers.SIDE NOTE
