Scared To Sell? Rejection Practice Club for Small Biz Owners
Details
Scared to pick up the phone or talk to prospects face to face? You are absolutely not alone.
This meetup is for small business owners, freelancers, and creatives who struggle with sales rejection and want a safe place to practice, get feedback, and build real confidence.
Getting a "no" can feel personal and threatening, especially when you are the face of your business. Instead of avoiding sales calls, we are going to practice them together in a group of 2-3 people in a supportive, low stakes environment so the real thing hurts a lot less.
If you want to dip your toe in and just listen, you are welcome to join us and just observe.
In this session we will:
- Talk about why rejection feels so intense for entrepreneurs
- Share our own experiences and patterns around "no"
- Practice short sales conversations and pitches in pairs and/or small groups
- Intentionally get our "three no’s" in for the night so we can rewire our nervous systems
- Reflect on what we learned about ourselves and what to try differently next time
This is not a high pressure, bro marketing space. It is a kind, practical meetup where we:
- Respect each other’s boundaries
- Treat "no" as data, not a verdict
- Focus on progress, not perfection
Who this is for:
- Small business owners and solopreneurs
- Freelancers and consultants
- Anyone who needs to talk to humans to get clients and feels nervous about it
What to bring:
- A simple version of your sales pitch or how you normally introduce your offer
- Willingness to be a little uncomfortable in a very supportive Zoom room with one or two others who will be doing the same thing
We will occasionally to talk, laugh a bit, practice, and walk away feeling less alone and more prepared for the next sales conversation. Not to mention the networking opportunities!
