This group is for people who want to explore the Bible free of Christian dogma; to explore the truth of the Bible on its own merits.
While this group does not endorse or promote Christianity, it is not anti-Christian.
This group is NOT for people who want to promote a particular ‘religious’ dogma, whether Atheist, Judeo-Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu etc.
WE ENCOURAGE TRUTH-SEEKING.
The Truth-Seeker’s primary question: How can I validate that?
Truth Seekers are curious, always exploring, always expanding their knowledge and understanding.
Truth Seekers are humble enough to admit that they don’t know everything and respect every person's freedom to form their own opinions.
DIALOGUE FORMAT.
Meetups are loosely based on a dialogue-model developed by David Bohm; dialogue, not debate or dispute.
Dialogue, as practiced in this Meetup group, is "a free-flowing group conversation in which participants seek to experience everyone's point of view fully, equally and non-judgmentally".
Dialogue is about seeking a new and deeper understanding, not necessarily agreement.
If we participate in good faith, we will leave a Dialogue meetup a little wiser for having listened openly to each other.
