Welcome to Explore the Coast - Southwest Michigan Sports, Outdoors, & Social Group. The purpose of this group is to give individuals/couples the opportunity to meet and connect with others with the same interests. Most events will be in Berrien and Van Buren Counties. We will be focusing on 3 areas: Sports will include: 1) Volleyball 2) Road Races: 5K, etc 3) Golf Outings 4) Watching Football 5) Etc. Outdoors will include: 1) Hiking 2) Camping 3) Canoeing 4) Cycling 5) Etc. Socials will include: 1) Dining 2) Festivals 3) Picnics 4) Comedy Clubs 5) Concerts 6) Game Nights 7) Wine Tastings 8) Etc. Sunday, June 7, 11:00 amWe will take around a 2+ mile hike between Round Barn and Tabor Hills, then we will stop at the Round Barn Estate for wine and/or food.
We will meet for the hike by the entrance to the Round Barn Estate winery at 11:00. If interested, we will stop at Tabor Hills for a tasting during the hike.
They are have Wags and Wine Event. Local rescues will bring animals for adoption. There will probably be a cover around $5.

Get ready to hike, sip and wander the Mt Tabor Trails, sponsored by Honor Credit Union. With a little over 3.5 miles of beautiful trails meandering through the woods and vineyards, Mt Tabor Trails connects guests from Round Barn Estate and Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant. The best part of these trails – taking your favorite beverage to-go is encouraged!

- Access the trails at either Round Barn Estate or Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant
- Take Round Barn or Tabor Hill drinks on the trail - in fact, we encourage it!
- Variety of trail types – easiest, moderate, hardest
- Terrain types – field, woods, vineyard
- Cost = FREE
- No reservations are needed
- No max. group size for the trail
Bring a lawn chair. We normally sit on the side of the hill by a tree.

Sunday, June 14th, 9:00 amDogs are not allowed!
We will meet at the Chain Ferry at 9:00. (It opens at 9.) We will take the ferry across the river ($3, cash only.) The only remaining chain driven ferry in the country, it has been in use since 1838. We operate Memorial - Labor Day, 9a-9p or 30 minutes prior to sunset.
Address: 528 Water St, Saugatuck, MI 49453The 1st stop at Mount Baldhead steps. Climbing these steps are optional. You may climb up and down the 303 steps. This if for bragging rights, just to say that you did it.
Then we will walk 1/2 mile down the street to our 1st trail. Tallmadge Wood's - Crow's Nest Trail is a 1.7 mile loop. We will then follow a trail to the beach (0.8 miles).
Optional Hike: We the walk north down the beach 1/4 to 1/2 mile or so. (The pier is 0.8 miles) This is out and back. This optional, you may stay at the main beach and wait for us to return.
After beach fun is done, we will take the John Woolam Trail back to the chain ferry (0.8 miles). Then return over the chain ferry (another $3).
It will be around a 4.1 mile hike plus the beach hike.
Note: Except for the optional beach hike, the most of the rest of the trails will be in woods (shade).
After the hike we can stop at the Mitten Brewery for pizza. (They sell pizza flights [4 types of pizza].)
