* **Scientific Inquiry:** Engaging in a rigorous scientific exploration into the origins of humanity and the biological and adaptive significance of human skin pigmentation.
* **Legacy and Impact:** A critical analysis of the enduring legacies of Afro-Indigenous peoples across North America, South America, the Caribbean, and globally, alongside an in-depth study of the transatlantic slave trade and the pervasive effects of systemic colonial oppression.
Central to our mission are several foundational principles: cultivating a robust and supportive community where every member feels valued and empowered; consistently honoring the resilience, wisdom, and courageous efforts of our ancestors in their pursuit of liberation; and acknowledging and celebrating the monumental and often unsung contributions of ancestral civilizations, particularly those originating from Black (highly melanated) populations, to the global advancement of science, technology, engineering, medicine, and the arts.
