bicycle stampede tour of ward 6
Details
come ride your bike to collect many of the stamps while touring the ward 6 neighborhoods. This is a modest 90 minute ride through less traveled roads and bike paths with many stops at scenic locations to gather the stamps on the tour. I plan for us to finish at himmel park at the time the pool opens for a dip at the near end of the ride to cool off before our last destination and return to the starting point. Bring your swim suit or shorts and shirt that can go in the pool for this option.
Ride begins at Catalina pool lot on dodge n of pima and pedals through the ward 6 area ending at himmel park for the afternoon free open swim to cool off for a bit before going back to the start location so bring or wear your swim suit under your clothes' and bring a towel.
total for the ride is under 12miles with many breaks, including a stop at cals bakery, so bring a bit of money for a snack and or bev.
I will be using a hybrid mountain urban bike, so pace will be slow to moderate. I have mapped out a pattern to maximize the locations in a safe efficient path.
The Ward 6 Summer Stampede is a free, family-friendly scavenger hunt inspired by Japan's Eki Stamp tradition. Participants collect unique, artist-designed stamps at various locations.
