Fireside Discussion of Depth Psychology, Dreams, Symbols, Stories, and Myth
Details
Join us for a fun hang around the backyard fire pit. This will be a thought-provoking conversation, where we dive into Jungian psychology, dreams, symbols, story, and myth.
This casual meetup is perfect for anyone curious about Carl Jung’s ideas, from archetypes and the collective unconscious to the power of dreams, symbols, stories, and myths.
As of now the weather forecast is clear, but it will be a bit chilly. Please bring a lawn chair and if you so desire, a blanket, snack, and something to drink (adult beverages are permitted).
*** My house is just east of the Nampa airport. The address will be provided to those who are still RSVP'd the morning of the event ***
We’ll explore:
- The meaning behind dreams and how they connect to your psyche
- The role of symbols in shaping our stories and lives
- How myths and archetypes influence our personal and collective narratives
- Jungian concepts like the shadow, anima/animus, and individuation
No prior knowledge of Jungian psychology is required – just an open mind and a desire to connect. We’ll share ideas, insights, and maybe even a few personal stories around the fire. Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy the starry night and good company.
