Writers' Roundtable: Connect | Share | Inspire
Details
Join us for an inspiring and supportive gathering of local writers in a constructive, encouraging environment. Writers connecting with writers.
Who is this event for?
Anyone writing fiction or nonfiction who intends on publishing (either with representation or self-publishing). All levels are welcome: beginners finding their voice, seasoned writers polishing manuscripts, or anyone in between.
- Novelists
- Short Story Writers
- Poets
- Screenwriters
- Playwrights
- Children's Writers
- Young Adults Writers
- Anyone who is putting their pen to their paper
What is the purpose of this event?
The purpose of the Writers' Roundtable is to foster connections between local aspiring and experienced writers, and to discuss the following:
- Our current and/or planned writing projects
- Different writing processes, techniques, and styles
- Our literary influences, favorite authors, and sources of inspiration
- Experiences and practical advice for editing, revising, querying agents, and navigating the publication journey (traditional, indie, or hybrid)
The hope is to create meaningful connections and possibly find accountability partners, beta readers, or even future collaborators.
The intent is not to write together, provide writing prompts, or read/critique during the event - though these things may come about through the Writers' Roundtable.
If you have questions please feel free to message Josh.
Who is hosting?
My name is Josh. I'm a writer of literary fiction. I've finished my first manuscript but have not yet been published. I'm working on my next manuscript, while trying to find a literary agent. I also host a podcast titled The Explorer Poet Podcast, which can be found on YouTube and Spotify.
