Nature Walk in the Wildlife Sanctuary at The Briars Mt Martha

Details
Join me for a nature walk in the stunning Wildlife Sanctuary at The Briars in Mt Martha to experience native Australian flora and fauna in a protected environment.
We will begin this outdoor adventure by walking to the bird hides to observe the water birds in their wetland habitat.
From there we will follow the Woodland Walk track which has panoramic views of the wetland system and surrounding hills, and travels through beautiful native vegetation such as dense scrub, grasslands and Manna Gum woodlands. Along the way we may encounter native animals such as echidnas, emus, kangaroos and wallabies.
The sanctuary is part of the larger Briars property, which has a unique combination of historical value and natural beauty. We can explore the interpretive displays in the visitors centre that explain the ecology of the area and the property's colonial history, including its connection to Napoleon Bonaparte's family.
Afterward we can sit and relax in the picnic area together. Bring your own drinks and snacks to enjoy.
The walk will be 4km all up and take us around 1hour 30mins. This is a moderate walk with occasional steps and uphill sections. We will walk at a moderate pace with stops along the way.
