Nature Walk along Frankston Foreshore and Sweetwater Creek & Coffee by the Beach
Details
Join me for a nature walk along the Frankston Foreshore and through the beautiful Sweetwater Creek Reserve. We will begin this outdoor adventure walking along the Coastal Path beside the beach and out along the Frankston Pier.
From there we will join the boardwalk as it winds through a beautiful habitat restoration of native plants and trees. This foreshore reserve is significant for its cultural history, geology and biodiversity. We will make our way to the Oliver's Hill lookout to take in the stunning skycapes across the water before stopping at the Little Olly's Coffee van for a coffee and a snack by the water's edge.
After that we'll venture into the peaceful Sweetwater Creek Reserve which has remnant bushland protected for its cultural heritage value. We may encounter a variety of native birds as we walk alongside the creek with its huge granite boulders and outcrops.
The walking distance all up will be 8km and take us around 2hours. This is a moderate walk along the foreshore trail with a steep section walking up Olivers Hill and a few steep staircases in the Sweetwater Creek Reserve.
