Afternoon Beach Walk along Altona Bay Trail & Coffee on the Pier
Details
Join me for a relaxed afternoon walk along the Altona Beach section of the Bay Trail Walk, in Melbourne’s west.
Whether you come for fresh beach air, meaningful conversation, or to make new connections — you are warmly welcome.
From the meeting point we’ll walk the 3km stretch along the Esplanade, and on our return stop for a take away coffee and walk down the Altona Pier to rest, chat and enjoy the ocean views.
Agenda
- 2:00pm – Meet directly across the road from the corner of Queen st/Beach St, at seating area (map and photo of meeting spot below)
- 2:10pm – Depart
- 3:30pm – Stop for a coffee and walk down the Pier
- 5:00pm – Return to starting point
The walk is approximately 6km round trip, flat and well paved.
If travelling by PT: *Please note* buses are replacing trains this weekend, there is a rail replacement bus from Footscray to Seaholme Railway Station.
Also, bus 411 from Bay 6, Leeds Street/Paisley Street, Footscray, departs 1.11pm, reaching Seaholme Station 1.37pm. From here it is a 5 min walk to the meeting spot.
For those driving, some side streets are untimed and un-metered, closer to the Esplanade is metered.
Please RSVP by clicking “Attend,” and I’ll be in touch with any additional details. This is a rain-or-shine event — any weather updates will be posted in the Event Comments on the day.
