We’re getting together for an afternoon of pétanque at Carreau Club in Industry City. Whether you’re brand new or have played before, this is a relaxed, social meetup focused on having fun and enjoying the game together.

• Event is indoors, at Industry City Mall, which has a food court
• Court will be reserved for 2 hours
• The B37 bus stops across the street from the Carreau Club
• The court reservation includes basic instructions
• If less than six people pay, the event will be cancelled.

💰 Cost & RSVP Details

• $10 per person and is refundable only if the event is cancelled or if there is no space to move you from the waiting list.
• Payment is required to secure your spot
• Preferred payment method: Zelle (instructions)
• If others need I can forward my Paypal linked email.
• Payment deadline: Thursday, January 29th at 8:00 PM

Attendees will remain on the waiting list until payment is received. Payment instructions will be emailed to all attendees in advance (or upon request).

If more than six people sign up, we’ll ask someone in the group to organize a second court reservation in their name so everyone can play.

🎯 About the Game: What Is Pétanque?

Pétanque is a traditional French boules game played on gravel or hard-packed surfaces. Players take turns tossing metal balls (boules) with the goal of landing them as close as possible to a small wooden target ball called the cochonnet (or jack). Points are awarded based on how many boules a team has closer to the jack than their opponents.
The game originated in southern France in the early 1900s and has long been a staple of village squares, cafés, and friendly neighborhood gatherings. It’s easy to learn, surprisingly strategic, and perfect for social play.
