What we’re about
A chance to join with artists and anyone who wishes, to make art. You may wish to receive guided tuition on making, creating and enjoying art. Helen Imogen is an artist working at Unit13 (Cambridge Art Salon) in Barnwell Drive in CB5, next to the airfield in an artists' cooperative unit. She has worked as a scientist, computer programmer and nursery educator, and received training in Counselling, in Christian studies, has a DPhil in Biochemistry and a Masters in Information Technology. Recently she has thrived in Art Courses at the Leith School of Arts, in Contemporary Art Practice, and in Figures; and in 2025 attended the Online Drawing Development Year with the Royal School of Drawing. The artist is eager to share the experience of working with many different methods and materials, and will run a class in person of 4 with other attendees online.

Artist Helen Imogen has spent a year learning so many techniques from practicing artists, and wishes to share the joy of drawing, of making marks, and creating something on paper that reveals, surprises, and a finished work that you will want to put on your wall. You don't need to be good at drawing, or art, to do this course. It will be a discovery time.1 attendee
