The Inquiry Salon is a community gathering for thoughtful individuals who enjoy exploring fascinating topics, asking big questions, and engaging in meaningful conversation in a respectful, open-minded space. This is not a debate club. This is not a forum to defend belief systems. This is a salon—a gathering of minds curious to explore life from all angles.

Whether you're passionate about philosophy, psychology, technology, culture, science, art, metaphysics, or simply the strange and mysterious corners of the human experience—this space is for you.

How It Works:
Before Each Meetup:

Every participant brings at least 3 written topics, questions, or ideas for discussion.

These should be specific, open-ended, and personally intriguing—something you've been pondering, recently learned about, or believe could spark an engaging dialogue.

Examples:

• "Does social media change what it means to have a self?"
• "What would justice look like without punishment?"
• "Can AI develop wisdom—or only intelligence?"
• "Can a person truly change their nature, or do we just change our behavior?"
• "Is suffering necessary for wisdom?"
• "Are we losing the ability to tolerate boredom, and does it matter?"
• "What role does art play in shaping our collective ethics?"
• "If money were no object, what small thing would you dedicate your life to, and why?"
• "What emotion do you most resist feeling, and why?"
• "Is solitude essential for creativity?"
• "Unexplainable phenomena that has happened to you?"

Evening Flow:

6:00 PM – Welcome & Introduction
We begin with a brief group check-in, introductions, and a reminder of our purpose: to explore, not to debate.

6:10 PM – Round One: Duos (or Trio)
Two names are randomly drawn from a bag.

That pair will draw a topic from a second bag containing everyone's submissions.

Each duo finds a space to talk for 30 minutes, exploring the topic from all angles.

If the discussion naturally finishes early, they may draw a new topic.
If we have an odd number of attendees, one group will be a trio.

6:40 PM – Group Discussion (30 min)
We reconvene and draw one topic to explore together as a full group. This is a chance to synthesize ideas, reflect on overlapping themes, or introduce new perspectives.

7:10 PM – Intermission (10 min)
Grab a drink, stretch, use the restroom, or connect casually.

7:20 PM – Round Two: New Duos (30 min)
We draw new pairs (or a trio) and repeat the small-group conversation process with new topics for another 30-minute session.

7:50 PM – Final Group Discussion (25 min)
We gather for a final shared dialogue to reflect, pose questions, or revisit earlier threads.

Hospitality & Setting:
The group meets in my home in Downtown Ogden—a warm, comfortable space designed for meaningful connection.

Wine, tea, coffee, and water will be provided.

You’re welcome to bring snacks or beverages to share, but there’s no pressure.

My address will be texted to you directly once you RSVP.
There is abundant free 24-hour guest parking near my complex. I’ll send you clear parking details in advance.
