The Legendary Holiday Lights of Dyker Heights & Optional Pre-Tour Dinner!

RSVPs open up on Tuesday, November 25th at 9:00pm. Space is set aside for new group members, 1st and 2nd timers and real estate clients who land on the waiting list. Email me at hankorenstein@gmail.com to request a spot (1 guest allowed).

Note that if you visited this area before to see the lights do not sign up to be fair to the many people who have not.

We will have an optional dinner before the walk from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at a local Italian restaurant, Luliano's at 7902 Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Check out the menu via this link: pizza, salads, pasta and other entrees and decent prices.

Coming from the 77th Street stop on the R train

If coming from 86th Street – R train:

The guided walk will last from 7:45pm - approximately 9:30pm. It will depart from the restaurant where we will have the optional holiday dinner. At the end of the tour, you will want to take the bus on 86th Street back to the R train or walk to the D train ( a good 20 minutes).

OVERVIEW
Tis' the season to enjoy the amazing lights of the residential neighborhoods of Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge Brooklyn! Are they garish, beautiful, kitschy, over-the-top, spectacular or all of the above? You be the judge! We'll walk a good 2 miles and enjoy some holiday cheer! I will mix in some colorful local neighborhood and Brooklyn history for good measure, along with how New York is largely responsible for inventing Santa Claus along with popularizing holiday traditions such as the Christmas tree.
