OVERVIEW
Join us for a guided adventure in NYC's largest pan-Asian community to celebrate the Lunar New Year and indulge in the culture and history of this unique neighborhood.

We'll start in the heart of downtown in front of the public library and watch part of the annual Lunar New Year parade - a feast of floats, vibrant costumes and dancing. We'll also check out some local bakeries for noshing.

Restrooms: Arrive early to use the restroom inside the library.

Other Tour Highlights
After watching the parade, we'll take in some local history that includes the Flushing Freedom mile that includes some of the oldest standing buildings in NYC including a mid-17th century farmhouse that served as the home of Quaker leader John Bowne. He and his fellow Quakers helped establish religious freedom in America.

The tour will end convenient to downtown Flushing and transportation. Optional "afterparty" and additional walk to Ganesh Hindu Temple and their restaurant, "The Canteen."
